"About Bobby Ellis"

Hi, I’m Bobby Ellis

I thought I would give you a little background on myself.

It was about the third grade when I started experimenting with imitations and character voices.

When my parents would have friends over my mother would say, “Bobby, Do that voice you do”.

On the other hand this same ability got me into trouble in school.

Some how teachers never appreciated my talents… or humor.

When I was fifteen I wrote to Mel Blanc, The voice of Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, Barney Rubble

and about a thousand other characters.   I asked him how I could get into the business of doing cartoon voices

and to my surprise he wrote back.  He said I would need to get an agent and that I might want to get into radio.

Well for better or worse I took his advice.

Through my broadcasting career I have worked for several stations as on air personality and

production director (sometimes now called creative director)

you know “Town to Town, Up and Down the Dial” until I ended up in management.

But while I’ve done almost everything you can do in radio, I have always felt most at home in the production room.

Over the years I have done countless radio spots, plus TV voiceovers, narrations and some on camera work,

including a small part (very small) in the 1988 feature film “Dream a Little Dream”.

After almost 30 years in the business, delivering a quality product on time is second nature.

Listen to my demos – or if you wish I would be happy to cut you a custom script.

If you feel I'm right for your next project please give me a call or shoot me an email.

Hope to hear from you soon!

Bobby
